B_G has been playing guitar and singing for 24 years. After taking voice and guitar in college — he used his musical talents in youth ministry and leading worship in church and small groups. Next to jamming with his friends, he loves singing and playing acoustic in small venues or around a campfire.
He says that “music is an amazing bridge between people. Even people who appear completely different from us. From the avid church-goer to a dyed-in-the-wool atheist, one of the universal human passions is the love of music.Where you find two people who can’t agree on politics, religion, or where the best Chinese food is, can come together on a great song that touches something in their heart.
Playing with “Pandora’s Regret” is the most fun I’ve had in quite a while. It’s really cool that we each come from such different backgrounds but musically we really seem to click. Some people have asked about the band’s name.…Pandora’s Regret. In Greek mythology Pandora was the first woman and was entrusted with a special box by the gods…this box contained all the ills and suffering that might plague mankind. She opened the box out of curiosity not realizing what she was releasing into the world. Upon realizing her mistake she shut it quickly trapping ‘hope’ inside.
Stephen likes to say “we’ve been let out of the box and no one is going to put us back in!”. I think that’s a nice way to say it.
